The diesel/ mazout crisis have renewed wildly in Lebanon,on Thursday, which caused a number of vital sectors to warn from the repercussions of the diesel outage as theEDL ( Electricite Du Liban ) continues its electricity rationing and the stoppage of a large number of private generators which practically satisfy the needs for energy in Lebanese areas.

The syndicate of private hospitals have announced that " the sector is facing a difficult situation as hospitals are unable to obtain diesel/ mazout to run the generators as the power cuts for not less than 20 hours a day.”

"Within hours, a number of hospitals will run out of diesel which will put patients lives in danger.” the syndicate of private hospitals added.

The union called on officials to " work immediately to solve this issue in order to avoid an inevitable health disaster.”

In turn, the syndicate of stations owners said that " the gasoline crisis has returned amid Banque Du Liban failure to open necessary credits which contradicts the agreements that took place in recent meetings."

The bakery and oven union warned of a bread crisis starting next week due to the diesel/ mazout shortage as some bakeries will stop providing bread after they consume their reserved amounts of diesel.
