King meets U.S. Treasury Secretary
Al-Anbat - His Majesty King Abdullah II on Tuesday met in Washington DC with U.S. Secretary of the Treasury Janet Yellen and discussed with her ways to cement U.S.-Jordan ties and strategic partnership.
During the meeting attended by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, His Majesty expressed appreciation for the U.S. support for economic and development projects in Jordan.
For her part, the U.S. Secretary of Treasury underscored the broad partnership between the U.S. and Jordan, noting the challenges Jordan faced and complicated by COVID.
Yellen commended reforms Jordan is implementing to boost sustainable growth and increase job opportunities. The meeting was attended by the director of His Majesty's office and the Kingdom's ambassador in Washington.
