Extremist settlers storm al-Aqsa mosque
Al-Anbat - Dozens of Israeli settlers stormed Monday the al-Aqsa Mosque/ Haram al-Sharif compound in occupied Jerusalem on the Day of Arafah, a holy occasion on the Islamic calendar.
Eye witnesses told Petra's reporter that the raid was carried out under the protection of the Israeli police and occupation forces that prevented hundreds of Muslims from entering the mosque.
These raids come after calls by the so-called "Temple Mount" organizations to mark the alleged "Tisha B'Av," or the destruction of Solomon's Temple.
