Minister: Mosques opens for Friday prayer between 11:40am - 12:40pm
Al-Anbat - Worshippers will be allowed to perform Friday prayers in the mosques on foot between 11:40am and 12:40pm, Awqaf Minister Mohammad Khalaileh announced on Thursday.
The minister urged worshippers to adhere to public safety and prevention measures, by bringing a prayer mat, wearing face masks and maintain physical distancing.
The decision came after the Prime Minister issued circular No. (24) for 2021 based on the provisions of Defense Law No. (19) for 2020, which included allowing citizens to roam on foot for one hour to perform Friday prayers in accordance with the health protocol prescribed by the Ministry of Health, and authorizing the Awqaf Minister to determine the start and end time of the hour.
