Scattered showers forecast today

Al-Anbat - The Kingdom will be affected by unstable weather conditions on Sunday, bringing partly cloudy skies and a chance for scattered rain accompanied by thunder at times in various parts of the country, according to Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).

Winds will be southeasterly moderate to brisk, blowing dust at times in the Desert areas, the JMD said.

Temperatures on Monday are expected to rise 4-5 degrees above than their seasonal average, so it will be moderate in most regions, except in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba where it will be relatively hot, the JMD predicted.

A further increase in mercury levels is forecast on Tuesday, bringing fair conditions in the highlands and plains, while it will be relatively hot in other areas, with clouds at medium and high altitudes and southeasterly to southwesterly moderate to brisk winds, the JMD added.

Temperatures in Amman today will hover around 28 Celsius degrees during daytime, dropping to 18C at night, while the Gulf of Aqaba will see 35C, sliding to 22C during night hours.
