King Hussein Airport ready for domestic flight services

Al-Anbat -  The King Hussein International Airport is well prepared to resume operation of domestic flights between Aqaba and Amman as of today, Wednesday, after being shut down due to imposing travel restrictions to contain the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.

General Manager of Aqaba Airports Company (AAC), Nasser Majali, told the Jordan News Agency (Petra) that the airport's preparedness is complete in accordance with the requirements and approvals of the Jordan Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission, in terms of preventing the spread of the virus and looking after the general health and wellbeing of travelers and staff.

He said that arrangements had been made for the arrival and departure of passengers of domestic flights of local airlines; Royal Jordanian, Jordan Aviation and Fly Jordan, stressing that the airport will stringently adhere to health measures during the process.

"Physical distancing norms would be strictly followed, and the entire terminal will be disinfected before and after the arrival of every flight, while thermometers will be provided to check passengers' temperatures at the checkpoint along with other protective equipment of masks and gloves," he added.
