Google chooses Qatar to launch its regional cloud services hub

Al-Anbat - Qatar Free Zones Authority (QFZA) announced it has signed a "strategic" collaboration agreement with Google Company to launch its regional hub for Cloud services from Doha.

This agreement is a first strategic agreement signed by Google Company in the Middle East, and Google regional hub will provide its services for all customers around the globe.

On the occasion, Ahmad bin Mohamed Al Sayed, Minister of State and Chairman of QFZA, said: "Hosting Google Cloud services hub, as a prominent partner in free zones, is an important step that will support the pioneering technical systems of QFZA".

With continuing its strategic plans that seek to promote investments in the country, he said the Google regional hub for Cloud services would play a "vital and valuable" role in expanding the extent of exceptional benefits provided by QFZA, as well as providing excellent services for a wide range of local and global companies.
