3 cruise ships with 2244 tourists arrive in Aqaba tomorrow

Al-Anbat - Three cruise ships carrying 2,244 tourists of various nationalities will arrive in Aqaba port on Thursday to visit the city, Wadi Rum and Petra, the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA) announced today.

A statement by ASEZA's Commissioner for Economic Affairs, Sharhabeel Madi, said that these ships come within the tourism promotion program of Aqaba, which attracted dozens of the world's largest cruise ships this year.

"The city of Aqaba has one of the world's most important ports and has become a sea bridge for global tourism," Madi added, stressing that ASEZA has facilitated all the procedures of the cruises' entry and exit.

He pointed out that Aqaba is now the ideal model for a tourist-friendly environment that attracts commercial investments for its golden triangle that includes; Aqaba, Wadi Rum and Petra.
