Senate committee, Iraqi envoy discuss ties

Al-Anbat - The Senate's Jordanian-Iraqi Brotherhood Committee, chaired by Omar Maani, met with Iraqi Ambassador, Safia al-Suhail, on the occasion of the end of her tenure.

During the meeting, Maani described bilateral ties as "historic," pointing to the ongoing coordination and communication between the two countries leaders.

He pointed out that both countries share common interests at all levels and in all fields, adding that both are keen on boosting trade and economic relations.

The envoy said that the distinguished bilateral ties pushed forward the agreements and projects that were formerly agreed upon.

She hailed the Jordanian position, under His Majesty King Abdullah II, towards Iraq, underlining the importance of coordination and consultation to facilitate trade between Amman and Baghdad.
