The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Eng. Atef Al Tarawneh, headed the House of Representatives for the fifth time after winning yesterday and winning 87 votes in exchange for his opponent d. Abdullah al-Akayla on 39 votes.

The voting was attended by 129 deputies after MP Mohammad Noah al-Qudah continued his absence from the council sessions and the election committee canceled 3 papers.

It is noted that Al-Tarawneh and Al-Akaily have lifted their votes in the Sunday elections by 18 votes each, compared to what they obtained in the elections of the previous ordinary session, where Tarrouneh received at the time 69 votes, and Alakayla received 21 votes.

Al-Tarawneh thanked the MPs for their confidence, which he described as "a mandate for me, to remain a servant to your Council, a guardian of the prestige of power, and based on the responsibility of the Secretariat, which you helped me, which is the thanks I send to everyone who carried me the Medal of Trust,It is also thanks to those who urged the pace of competition to be on the front of democracy, makers of a future for generations worthy of living in less challenging and more hopeful conditions in a future that meets the aspirations of Jordanians.

He said "I can not fail here to draw inspiration from the speech of the High Throne and the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II, a program of work on all tracks,We are committed as an authority to our Jordanian constants, and to cooperating to resist all the challenges we face, to achieve a free and stable economy through a society armed with sciences and  knowledge , and youth who do not hesitate to deal with difficulties.

He added: "Here we turn the page of elections for the presidency of the House of Representatives; and involve with it a stage went, coming to a stage that we think is the greatest challenge and the largest responsibility, which leads us to the front of duty positions where there is no room for hide.

He continued: "We find ourselves in the House of Representatives today to meet the challenges, once by virtue of our constitutional role, and times by virtue of our Jordanian nationality, which we do not agree with them to fail to meet the appeal or panic, Jordanians loyal to the section condemned, and a role we will not retreat from the performance.

He added: "If the long lines of work continue, we must not rest in peace; we open the doors of our Council for every opinion and advice, in drafting legislation and in establishing a control approach; our homeland and our eyes on the citizen, the origin of the land,in every action or situation,Jordanians no difference between us only the size of love and loyalty and belonging to the land and science and the throne and constants,The stability of the role of the legislative authority is a form of institutionalization of the state of institutions and law. Here is the house of legislation and the function of Jordanians whenever they wish to express their aspirations. The council they chose was found to fulfill their wishes and hopes.
Al Tarawneh pointed to the priorities of the stage, saying: "We also have to devise creative ideas to face chronic and emergency crises. Economic reform is not only the amendment of the income tax law, but in many ways and methods,Here, let us commit ourselves to the outputs of the national dialogue conducted by the Committee on Economy and Investment to amend the tax law, while adhering to our unified parliamentary position in not compromising the poor and middle classes,In this context, our Council must adopt an economic conference with the participation of Jordanian businessmen abroad, and the participation of representatives of the Jordanian communities in the Arab and foreign countries. We will be able to offer benefits to them in a manner that supports the opportunities of localization. Investment in their homeland ".

As for the responsibilities of the parliamentary session, Al-Tarawneh said, "The responsibilities of the current parliamentary session are growing. We are called upon to stand for comprehensive reform and its programs under the leadership of His Majesty the King,These are the opportunities to revisit the laws of political life, which compels us to comply with the aspirations of our people for comprehensive reform without delay.

The Prime Minister congratulated Dr. Omar al-Razaz President Tarawneh, saying: "In my name and on behalf of the government I offer your Excellency congratulations and congratulations and I congratulate the deputy Abdullah Akayla confidence of his colleagues and know the extent of their love for him."

He said "We will be real partners to meet His Majesty's appeal to us to be one hand and work in a team spirit to achieve the vision of the King to consolidate the building of the state together,"

And  the MP d. Nassar al-Qaisi won the seat of the first deputy speaker of the House of Representatives after receiving 65 votes in exchange for his rival Ahmed Safadi on 60 votes, out of 128 deputies participated in the ballot and the absence of MPs Mohammed Noah and Maram al-Haysa.

MP Ahmed Hamisat succeeded the second deputy speaker after winning 60 votes against his rival Wafaa Beni Mustafa, who won 57 votes. Three deputies, Maram Al-Shisa, Adnan Rakibat and Mohammad Noh Al-Qudah, were absent, and the committee canceled 10 papers.

The Senate held its first session at its third ordinary session under the chairmanship of its chairman Faisal al-Fayez, who thanked His Majesty the King for opening the work of the Council, saying that His Majesty's keenness to strengthen our democratic march This Jordanian-Arab-Hashemite will remain, God willing, a country of pioneering, freedom and justice. It is going to the future at a steady pace and insightful visions that will appeal to the oppressed and support the oppressed and believe in the unity of the nation and the one destiny that brings it together.Stressing the support of the Senate and its support for the steps of His Majesty the King and his continuous efforts to build a modern Jordan capable of facing challenges and serving the interests of the nation and the homeland.


Al-Fayez said in his speech, which opened the work of the Senate, that the Council is aware of the magnitude of the challenges facing us and that facing them needs more effort and continuous work,Stressing the importance of continuous cooperation and coordination with the Council of Representatives and the Government to consolidate the principle of true partnership as defined by the Constitution in the service of our national supreme interests, and to achieve the visions and aspirations of His Majesty the King and the aspirations of our people.

He added Jordan remains a bulwark against the forces of evil and darkness that are trying to undermine our homeland, our security and our stability,And that their despicable actions will not undermine the will of the Jordanians and we will remain committed to the covenant around our leader, the King, in every step he takes for the security of Jordan and its lifting,Stressing that the war on terrorism and extremism and various obscurantist forces will remain our war in defense of our religion and our noble human values. "The senators chose the committee to respond to the sermon of the throne. Marouf Bakhit, Kamal Nasser, Haidar Mahmoud, Ayman Hahtah, and Fidaa Al-Hamoud.

The elected members of their permanent office elected Dr. Maarouf Bakhit as First Vice President, Samir Rifai as Second Deputy, Munir Suber and Yasra Ghosheh as Assistant to the President.
Ibrahim al-Qar'an (42 votes) and Ibrahim Abu al-Sayyid (30 votes) won the positions of 12 deputies.


The first deputy shall assume the powers of the President of the Council and his powers in the event of his absence or inability to carry out his duties or participation in the discussions of the Council or when the questions and interrogations and suggestions presented by the President as a deputy in the Council,While the Second Vice-President shall assume the powers and powers of the President of the Council in the absence of the Chairman and his First Vice-President, or be unable to carry out their duties, participate in the Council's discussions or discuss the questions, questions and suggestions they submit as members of the Council.
The two assistants under the supervision of the President tasks: follow-up preparation of records of meetings and their conclusions, and the editing of the minutes of private meetings and their conclusions and signature,Monitoring the results of the voting in the Council, recording the names of the petitioners in the order of their requests, supervising matters relating to the maintenance of the system during the meetings, in addition to carrying out the requests of the President in fulfillment of his powers.
